On November 22, 2019, Deval L. Patrick, a member of the board of directors (the “Board”) of Global Blood Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company of his resignation from the Board, effective immediately. Mr. Patrick’s decision to resign was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matters relating to the Company’s operations, policies or practices.
